"Sharon, it's always iffy to move bulbs in leaf. You can do it though, I have, if you dig up the entire rootball with soil intact. Plant it where you want it, and water it well. It may wilt but with no or very little root disturbance it should…"

With the next couple of years looking to be very busy and like we will have a lack of time to be in the yard, I devised a plan to get rid of many of the plants which have been problematic or will need too much care. We live on a quarter acre and have several trees in our yard. Red Hot Pokers

I'm looking for some advice on how to get rid of some Red Hot Poker plants. They are along my back fence and we had them removed a few years ago but apparently some of the rhizomes remained because they came back with a vengence. The only time of year I ever like them is when they bloom and the birds come and settle on them. The rest of the year they are an eyesore to me and a pain. They bring slugs, snakes, and all sorts of bugs and vermin to my yard because they are so overgrown and unruly.… Continue
