Hi, Lydia.    I've just invested in three new irises, trying to widen my variety and lengthen the season.   I just checked my own calendar - my first purple iris bloom was on April 3, and the last was a yellow on May 13.   I guess I get longer out of them than I realized, but I love them so much I'd still like to have more.
