I am just not used to southern gardening, but I am especially not used to termites being a garden pest!!! This year I planted chilies and tomatillos for salsa (I'm transplanted from Calif.). Anyway, I went out to see what was making my plants look wilted and expected a virus or something, so I pulled them up. What did I find? Termites had eaten the centers out of the stalks and caused the wilt.How do I get rid of termites in a vegetable garden without poisoning myself?See More
Hi Lynda - thanks for the welcome! I've got my veggies more than 2 feet away from the cross ties as well as lining them with plastic for pathways. Hopefully that will be OK. I'm a HGHS graduate and visit your neck of the woods often to see my parents. Hope you're enjoying all this rain!
