I've been seeing this fungus looking organism popping up in my garden lately. I havent seen one like it before. It was kinda freaky at first especially when I saw "twins" on one spot. They look like alien droppings from outster space. I showed them to my 7-year old and 4-year old garden helpers. "Oh this is a good subject for discussion" is what my 7-year old said. Thanks for your response and welcome to this site. I am looking forward to seeing additional photos. I'll put some more photos on my site as well as the year progresses. Right now there is still a bit of snow in the back yard, but I'm putting my seedlings out on the South facing deck every day, although I have to bring them at night because we are still below freezing at night. Some of my perennials outside are coming up - day lilies, lupin, columbines and irises. Saw my first butterfly the other day - that is a sure sign that spring is here to stay!
