I need a name for this plant

I saw this at the Barstow, CA KOA. High desert. It was a bush, but might grow into a tree. The caretaker there was not sure. Can anyone tell me the name of this?

I have had probelms with coons also. Right now I have a crane that likes Orange sushi very well.

Where in CA do you live? I WISH I LIVED there. I LOVE yoru state. I could have a garden ALL THE TIME!
