"This may not be a wasp. It has only one set of wings. Could it be one of over 200 species of the hoverfly? Another clue, you didn't get stung either! Of course you didn't provoke him either or did you?"

Can A Gardener Be A Procrastinator?

Posted on March 16, 2010 at 7:22am 0 Comments

According to Wikipedia, “procrastination refers to the counterproductive deferment of actions or tasks to a later time”.

I am a gardener, can I be a procrastinator as well? I am accused of being one from time to time. Notice I said “from time to time”. It depends on what the matter is that I am trying to defer or just plain do not want to do. Read more.....

Hey Marvin, since you have given such good advice before =) Do you have any advice you could give me about planting in a green house? My husband got me one for our anniversary, and it seems to hot to keep any plants in right now... also not sure what kind of plants would do well planted in a greenhouse over the winter... Perhaps there is a website you know of that has good greenhouse information? Thanks for your help!

Your last quote fits me. Had great plans to get out this weekend. My publishing software crashed as I tried to get my cactus newsletter out. After spending some big bucks, I had a 15 hour marathon to learn the program and get published. No energy left; sprinkling, cold, and I still have to print and mail the letters. With time change perhaps my energy level will go up as well.

Hey Marvin, thanks for the advice. I think I am going to repot like you said, and rinse out the roots to get rid of all the bugs. The light seems to be helping for now, but I am sure that is why it is wilting. Thanks for the help!

Still to cold or not enough personal energy to plant yet. Working on a lecture I'm supposed to give. Lot of ideas here on the discussion groups or in individual sites.

"Not a pine tree, but related. It's some type of Cycad. Conifers (which a Pine is) belongs in the family of Gymnosperms. So do Cycads, Gingko and other cone bearing plants like Ephedra. Cycads are ancient. Precursors to Conifers.  "
