Good Morning!

My name is Pamie G. and I live in the Hill Country northwest of New Braunfels, Texas. Our land has never been utilized so we are starting on a clean slate for gardens. I attended Oklahoma State in the Horticulture program and was previously a Bexar County Master Gardener. We bought our retirement home and unfortunately or fortunately we bought a home that has no landscaping done, none, period, dot, dot in hill country, lots of rocks!!! This is a new gardening arena for me coming from the burbs… Continue

my new job is keeping me wiped out and my kids school schedules keep me driving back and forth to the school until late in the evening sometimes... I didn't even consider the mtg. this week. How I wish I could take the master gardener course.. but I work during all the times that it meets if I remember that schedule correctly. :-(

Hi Pam,
I went to the River Chase Garden Club meeting. It was crowded and they kept yelling or whistling for people to quiet down and in that small area it was very unpleasant. I don't see myself going to another meeting. TTYL

SO cool to meet you today!! Who would have thought it would take a Gardeners website on the internet to help us to meet.. and we live only about two blocks away from each other!

Hi Pamela! How exciting August 8th...right around the corner. I actually live right outside San Antonio in La Vernia so it is not far from New Braunfels at all. I look forward to watching your new garden take form into a new paradise. We actually just did some remodeling in the house and patio so being able to do what I want in the garden may have to just wait. At least I have cleaned it out and began a little at a time. I have a lot of area. I look forward to sharing and chatting. Have a blessed and fantabulous day.

Hi, I just did a search for gardeners in my area (figured we would have something in common!!) and there are only a few of us on Gardeners Index. You have such a cute house!! We had brick on our house here in TX.. but took half of it down for stone. The other half will be changed when we have money again HA!.. My garden has gone way over budget, so we will be paying catch up for awhile.
