"Paula, that is a very good idea, criss crossing the pvc pipes. It gives them more stability than just single rows like I did. Thanks for that tip !"

This is my first attempt at a compost tumbler.

The post are made of 2 - 2X6 pieces of wood,

making it a 4X6 posts (each side)

The post are not treated or painted yet, but it is functional

Each post is cemented into the ground.

***

Every thing used to make this Compost Tumbler

was recycled, or what was at hand!

***

Good things do not have to cost a lot...

***

Peace

I never use the seeds strips, or should I say, never buy them.

My seed comes up just fine.

Here is a cool video, on how you can make your own seed strips.

Enjoy, this is too cool!

Hey Paula, I just started a worm bin.  I also started with the Rubbermaid bins.  How do you harvest the worm castings?  My husband put a faucet on the bottom (like the ones that you buy with the trays.  If you could explain the process to me that would be great.   I am feeding them twice a week and they look happy :)
