Winter Sowing
Winter Sowing is an easy seed germination method that allows you to start many seedlings for little cost. During the Winter months seeds are sown into mini-greenhouses that you make yourself from recycled containers, such as milk jugs, soda and juice bottles, take out food containers, etc. After sowing, the mini-greenhouse is placed outside to wait for the end of Winter. I put all my veggie kitchen scraps in it along with leaves I collect in my daughters neighborhood when her neighbors put them out in bags. I add leaves ever so often. I should really turn the pile every week or so but have been lazy with that. I'll try to post a pic soon.

I've bought the right stuff to replace it but just haven't gotten to it yet.
More on composting later. Gotta make a run to the dump. :)
