What kind of gardening do you like to do?
mixed, plus house plants
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
at present I live in an apartment with no area to garden
I chose this theme b/c I was/am a teacher. One cannot stop being a teacher just b/c one retires! It's in the blood!
I'm looking forward to obtaining a public garden plot next summer, and getting back to what I love.
We, my family, has always had a garden. Not just for show but function. I remember as a kid having to weed the large plot we had in the yard. We live in a 3 tenement house but had a big yard that the landlord allowed use to garden.
The neighborhood I grew up in was mostly immigrants and first-generation families. Almost everyone had a garden. I had an uncle and aunt who lived across the street from us and she frew the most beautiful roses! They looked like peonies, hugh and full of petals. I remember when I "graduated" from eigth grade she gave me a hugh bouquet of them.
No matter where I've lived I have tried to have some kind of gardening in my life, evnen if it was just house plants.

If I can get 6 or less varieties per shipment, these are the one I would like:

*Sweet Purple Basil Chardonnay Jelly
*Fresh Lemon Basil Chardonnay Jelly
*Sweet Purple Basil Jelly (no wine)
*Ruby Red Basil Shiraz Jelly
*Rainbow Hot Pepper Zucchini Jelly

I'll actually be sending for them the 1st week of November.

I don't have to ship til later but since everything's seasonal, sometimes we run out and have no way to make more til next summer :-) And we're expecting our first freeze in a few days, so I'm scrambling to pick the remaining peppers and basil! Ahh, the life of a gardener...

The jellies are $6 a jar for 8 ozs. I ship 6 to a box for $45 including shipping. The single jars are just too darn expensive for shipping, so most of my customers give as gifts...you can check out my flavors at www.meadowlark-acres.com or visit meadowlark acres on facebook.
Cheers, Suzanne

Yes, Lee, I do produce all the jellies and mustards from recipes I've created over the years. Thanks for asking :-) Suzanne

I've done tomatoes indoors during the winter. However, I realized too late that since there are no insects indoors I have to polinate the flowers individually! Ended up with only 6 tomatoes from 3 plants!
