Mr. Raymond I recieved your message about the deletion of Gardener's Index. Oh my gosh! What are we going to do? Where are we going to go? This guy doesn't even give us the option to pay. That's where the co. is headed any way so why not offer the option? He doesn't want to go "thru the effort" of transferring. That is so selfish! it doesn't even occur to him how many people will be affected. He says it "has served it's purpose" he has a strange idea of what that is.I've never seen such coldness! I thought it was strange that I never heard from a moderator. This site has enriched my life so much. don't know what I'll do now.I don't even know where to begin.Don't even know how to "retrieve" the photos etc.... Do you think if we all flood them w/ e-mails & calls ,they will change their minds? it has happened before. We must do something.
What are you going to do? do you know any site similar to this ?
I mean I have never seen such a vibrant gardening site . And the people are so nice and it offers so much flexibility in designing our page. It looks like it was designed w/ so much love.it's such a pleasure to look at too! They haven't even given it a year. I think it would have won an award, I really do.
Some people are just out for financial gain. in the end their "so called spirituality is useless and leads only to the opposite, materialism. beacause a "Truly" spiritual person would make the "effort' to transfer and think of someone other than themselves! He said he announced it in his "withdrawal blog" two wks ago, but it's strange that he didn't even give his name at the end of the letter.don't you think that' strange mr. Raymond?Let me know what you are going to do and thanks for the alert.
I'm very sad.:-(

I do like my UV light filter a lot. The brand I bought is Fishmate. I like it not only because it has a UV light but when I want to empty the pond in the spring to it is very easy with a turn of a switch and it pumps all the water out of the pond. I have a small pond so size of the filter is very important and changing the UV light is recommended each year. Since I live in Chicago and my season is short. I will need to change my uv light next year. The weather here has been cool so I have not had to seen any string algea which the UV light does not kill. My plants are doing great. I put in pond fertilizer tabs. Good luck and let me know how things are going.

Raymond, I attemped to post pictures this morning and I get an error message that says "Oops!, there's been an error. Please try again". So I'll try to restart my computer and try again. Do I need to have a certain program installed (i.e. Java)?

Thanks for the note Raymond. We've had no further casualties since the upgrade to aeration. I also did some additonal cleaning of the pond bottom as an additional precaution. Now, if we could just get some rain here more regularly, I might be willing to go get some replacement fish.

Unfortunately another backyard project has gone long, so I suspect the koi pond will be next summer's project.
