Cactus

"Better late than never... it is a "sempervivum" or houseleek, cold hardy, drought tolerant, native to alpine regions. Sends out basal sprouts to spread, pieces root easily, eventually blooms. Common cemetery plant!"

"Protect it from freeze tonight; the next week or so, keep it in full shade with very little water. Inside, keep it on the dry side with some light.  Don't fertilize your aloe during the winter.  They don't like to be in a pot…"

Houseplants

From a very young age, I have loved houseplants. I would love to hear about what types of plants you have, and any stories you might have about how you acquired your plant or plants. Would also love to see pictures of your houseplants.

Protect it from freeze tonight; the next week or so, keep it in full shade with very little water. Inside, keep it on the dry side with some light.  Don't fertilize your aloe during the winter.  They don't like to be in a pot that's too big.  Keep it in its original pot over the winter if you can.  Good luck.
