Poinsettias and rosemary of course! That's what I'm sticking in my containers. It may not last past the season, but to me these two are the epitome of the season ... well, winter maybe not fall. It definitely sets me in a good mood no…
I enjoy! growing zinnias and marigolds in containers.
You will have color and blooms right up to your first frost.
Here is a photo of white wedding zinnia.
very white in color and is pretty!
That particular color of purple looks florescent. It is awesome. I have The Wave Petunias and they are going crazy in most of my containers. I love it one plant goes far and easy to grow from seed. I winter sow mine mostly. Sedum is good for sure…
If you live 3 hours south of us that would put you near Milwaukee. We have a little bit of a difference in seasons. We stay colder longer in the spring and stay warmer in the fall than most of the rest of the state. That's because of the water temperature that surrounds.us. I'd be interested in knowing where in Wi. you live.
Sarah, I live in Door County, Wi. You may know where that is. I am the gardner for a resort here and have 2 mystery plants I thought you might be able to help me with. If you go to my home page you will see pictures of the plants. One is a white groundcover. In one picture I am holding a piece of it out in my hand...the other is of it in the garden. Also there are 2 pictures of a white flower that I can't identify and am asked about all the time. They hang over from the top of the stem like little bells before they open. They bloom in mid to late spring and some are blooming again now.
Others have guessed that they are bloodroot but the stems aren't red and the leaves are different. I'm really stuck on that one. If you have any ideas I'd appreciate hearing from you. I'm on facebook also...Karen Smith Henriksen.
Thanks....Karen
