Just finished a fun project! Improved the "curb appeal" of our house a ton with a couple of new Emerald Arborvitae, rubber mulch and rocks from the lake and some repaired barrels. Amazing what a change it is. Also added (another) garden. Hmmm....more weeding :( But more plants too :) Thanks Patti for your help!

TC just finished Cherry Festival and we're in full swing for Alpenfest. Seems that summer is very short after the local festivals are done. Nice to have someone else close to chat with. Hope you haven't had issues with wind like we have. My garden is coming along pretty well but just noticed that a few stalks of corn have been chewed off. Guess I'll have to get some fencing up tomorrow. Flowers are pretty this year but my Hydrangas seem a little slow. Hopefully we'll get much needed rain, only at night of course. Enjoy your garden...hopefully we'll chat soon.

This is the best time of year! My flowers are starting to bloom and things still look fresh! Most everything came back (except 1 Blue Fescue) I have several new babies of plants I actually like. Life is good!

There is a climbing rose zepherin droughin(sp) I have that only gets about 2 hours of sun a day, but it blooms like crazy. Great rose for very little sun.

I just posted a few pictures of my new Rose Garden that is a circle - might help.... The garden is not mature, but you can see the round shape and how it should grow into an island of sorts. The garden gets 6 - 8 hours of sun over the course of the day. I have local rocks embedded in ground and walk way, otherwise just J&Ps and monkey grass. I plan to add lavender this weekend to the boarder in hopes to keep Deer out.
