"Maybe they are Sirberian Iris. I can't see the flower head too well, but the leaves are iris leaves."

Thanks, Shauna, for the comments and the friend invite.  If you're ever up I-35 in the summer, give me a shout.  My back yard is on the highway.  Glad you like my pics.  By the album you can get a feel for where and what each is. I love going to botanical gardens.  Still have a couple to post.  My gardens have grown into a learning experience for me and a teaching opportunity for anyone who visits.  That gives me pride in what I have designed on my own.  It is also handicapped accessibe, with brick paths to each section of the garden, a 2 year project. Still growing and changing, and maturing.  Someday it and I will both be finished.  Give me a shout back any time.

Greetings, Shauna, from a gardener in central Oklahoma.  I had a button bush come up volunteer in my bog garden.  Think I'll keep and shape it.

It is a small world after all! I grew up in Indiana and vacationed here as a kid. Then I brought my kids. We eventually bought a condo here in 1987. My husband got transferred to Dallas in 1990 and then Chicago 2 years later. He is still working there and commuting back here on week-ends. We bought a house here 12 years ago with retirement in mind, but haven't quite made yet! Nice to meet you, too, Shauna! P.S. My Aunt & Uncle lived in St. Louis. If you can live there in the summer, I think you can live anywhere!

I see you live in Richardson, TX! How do you know South Haven? We lived in Dallas for a couple of years. If I were you, I'd leave there in the summer. South Haven is at it's best then!
