Help!

Okay so here's whats up. I have attempted to plant spinach 3 times now this year and all three times as soon as the spinach makes an appearance something comes along and eats it.
I have not been able to catch anything in the act so have no clue if it is a slug, caterpillar, or some other insect. the basil to one side and the lettuce variety to the other are not touched. It is only the spinach that is being consumed.
Does anyone out there have any idea as to what…

I have so many wonderful native plants growing on our property that I have been digging up some of them and potting them up in hopes that I may be able to sell some on craigslist come next spring. I was shocked to see that the yellow Jasmine that grows in abundance here cost up to $12 for a small pot at the local nursery. I also have started my own sago's from seed (around 20 or so), I have to keep them in an area where the dogs cannot get at them as they are highly poisonous. I have airplane… Continue

Today is June 21 2009, Fathers day (oops I forgot) as well as the first official day of Summer.

Summer in my area actually arrived some time ago and we have been patiently waiting for the calender to catch up. Today I have been out doing my usual Sunday puttering, it is my favorite day of the week as it allows me the most time to spend in the garden.

I have FINALLY potted my herbs into larger pots, the Lavender, Lemon Thyme, Sweet Basil, and Globe Basil are all very happy in their new… Continue

Hi Kay I noticed that you dry your herbs which I would like to learn how to do but right now i would like to ask is it hard to grow stevia? I would like to grow it myself for my sugar than buying it in the stores. I'm been working on eating and drink all natural foods. Been getting more and more away from process foods and drinks.

Kay,  I saw where you take coconut oil for your RA. Does it help. I am looking for a something natural to take for Osteoartritis. Just wondered if it works. Love your pics and info. Happy planting.

This warm weather just makes me want to plant and plant and trim brown leaves but randy lemmon says wait till next saturday and he'll tell us if there'll be a freeze or not.  I live and breath plants and winter kills me.  Last winter killed 90 percent of my plants and I am a just started, wanted to die.  I'm covering the little I have left, what a pain.
