Thank you, to all of our colleagues on the G-S site, who live in the southern hemispheres and have posted pictures of flowers, bird houses, children, pets, bumble bees, and beautiful flowers and plants - as your "growing" season comes to an end.
It gives me hope - to hang on and wait - our flowers will be blooming soon.
It gives me thanks - to all of you who tended to plants (and children and animals), bringing life into the world.
Peace.
Sue

Hello,
I understand that "Stink Bugs" have been in the USA for some time and that our gardeners in the south have had them for a while. However, we have just been introduced to the little, ugly, army-tank-like creatures in the past few years. Don't know what to do about them eating our fruit trees and invading our homes (in the fall, when it gets cold here). Any suggestions for reducing plant damage and/or home invasion? Thanks!

I would love to have this chair in my garden. It was on vacation when found it:) some things you just can't take home.

Charmaine Anderson said… Hi Sue, Thanks for the friend invite. I just returned from the Great Smoky Mountains, and Shenendoah National Park and the stink bugs were really quite a problem there this year, they kept trying to get into our rental car. I had never seen them before and thought they were flying cockroaches. All the hotels we stayed in had louvered doors in front of their screen doors, I suspect to help cope with this problem. I read getting one's home properly caulked can help keep them out.
