I have been here twice and I live in California. Never have had the opportunity to see their christmas decorum. Have you had the chance to view the lily pads?
Angie, thank you, your right, it's been in the 90's and 100's and I have tried to water and probably in too great of amounts sometimes in the AM and then sometimes in the PM every other day to keep everything still going. Ground is…
Pulmonaria = Lungwort. Scientific and common names.
Whereas, Mother-in-law plant is usually an indoor tropical in most areas and has longer, pointier leaves, like this one:
I don't know much about Jasmine flowers, but this looks like a fruit or seed pod. It doesn't look like an insect cocoon or some virus. I guess if I had a Jasmine plant and saw that, I would think it was a seed pod. -- Kirsten
Maggie,
Thanks so much for solving our mystery. Great website and was able to learn more about this plant. Thanks for your immediate reply. I have called my mom as well and read her all the info. Thanks again for all your help.
Here is a picture of the Jasmine plant with the growth on it. My mother swears it's attached to the vine of the plant. Can anyone identify the growth. She says it's still growing larger. Thanks for any help in advance.
What a neat way for your neighbor to honor her dog. That will be a special garden. I should do that here. We have 2 dogs and a cat in a couple different locations. One was my Mom's little schnauzer. My Mom and I did a memory garden for my Dad. It really needs a face lift. Should work on that his year.
Thanks for the OK to use your photos...it probably wont be that soon - since I'm spending most of my time now pruning all the dead wood out of my Mom's trees/bushes and finishing to rake the yard - then I need to do mine. But the painting inspiration strikes when it wants and then I just have to stop everything else and spend a few days painting! Will be happy to share my paintings when I do them. Just don't expect Van Gogh!
