It is Clerodendron Thompsonii a wonderful tropical climber, zone 9 gardeners can probably grow it safely, but it is great for a hanging basket or pot with a trellis for colder climates.

Rene, Kristin had my idea of plaster paris to smooth it out, and then if you would like it inside you could put a floral arrange ment on it, or some wonderful sculpture on in. Good luck.

Looks like the same ones we have in Florida....they're everywhere. I love to catch one and let him bite my finger and dangle for the kids...they really get a kick out of it! Unfortunately, I'm not as quick as I used to be!

I love this vine. I used to have it growing up my mailbox. It just reseeded every year...never had to replant. I've moved and sure wish I had saved some seeds! I've seen seeds availale for 'white' which I think I'll try.

Ok, dont know what happened to my post but I will try again. I used an old cement birdbath column for a fern stand. It was not level at the top either so my husband molded a plaster of paris right onto the cement. I stained the stand to match the…

yes, definitely contain it.....I have seen it grow in a large pot,but not sure if it would outgrow the pot or not. the weird think about it is that it's roots go forever......I have found shoots 20 feet away from the original! But like I said, it is easy to pull but it just keeps going! Good luck with it...

are you talkig about the pink flower? It is a cashmere bouquet.(Clerodendrum bungei) I find it somewhat invasive, but easy to pull up....the vegetatio really stinks, but the flower smells just like the soap! and the butterflies love it

Hi Susie, Thanks for the compliment. Wow! 92 degrees. I actually do love the cool fall air. Your photos are also quite beautiful. And Sophie says thank you, too. She thinks she is pretty cool and so do I. Her sister, Sadie, also thinks the same. Sadie is my yellow lab.

Hi Susie, I'm envious of your garden in Fla. We had such a wild season of weather. Everything from huge amounts of rain, cooler temps and of course all the hail you could want(not). How is your soil down there? Ours is different every 10 feet. Everything from sandy to clay. So, needless to say gardeners here had a rough year. Flowers were good, not so much on the vegies.
