We had the wettest May on record. We have had the driest of seasons. Late summer and Fall have been so dry. We have had very little to no rain for nearly three months. Strawberries were coming on before we left on vacation. We were eating lettuces, cabbages, broccoli, some beets, and onions. I am hoping to have the leeks, fennel, and beets ready upon return.

"This is the herb bed. It is right outside the back door, closer than the veggie garden. Of course it has flowers, too. I also put my houseplants out here during the growing season. they love it."
