"The peat rounds have red mustard the others are lettuces and mesclun greens. I always pull the mesh off of mine and save it to stuff into pot holes. Those seed trays as you called them are what salad comes in at the grocery store."
"So far the babies are in the house in containers that salad greens come in from the store. They are under grow lights in the dinning room. Was hoping to get greens going in the greenhouse but I am way behind and the cold weather came early this…"
"No I haven't checked yet need to put the thermometer in there. Also need to cut that one part so I can put the other cover on then see how warm it is under 2 layers of plastic. It was wet inside the greenhouse and the moisture was coming up…"
"I have electric heat that comes out of the ceiling. It's actually too dry in my house as I also have an ionic air purifier too. Was reading one of my indoor plant books and a lot of my plants would like to be misted. Need to make a list of…"
"I had to get out my wood burner so I could make drain holes in the bottom of the salad containers. Some I just put other containers under or the lids to catch the drained water. I only had one of those nice planter box bottoms that they fit on. The…"
"Here is how crazy about gardening I am, this is my kitchen today. The peat moss is in the big blue rolling trash can. The square tub usually lives on a nice rolling cart at a nice height and an angle so easy to work with the potting soil.."
"Keryn aren't you blessed. Nasty here again snowed a little last night only 33 here today. Teens tonight and single digits the rest of the week. Snow again by Sun. GRRRRRRRR! I HATE WINTER! Never got my greenhouse done yet, need to level the…"
"Jan just make sure that the chains and what holds the chains to the basket are heavy or reinforced. The ones in the kitchen took a dive while I was messing with one of the plants. I save all key chain rings I can find to do that with. …"
"Think it is called purple passion. Mine is munched bad by some bug. I killed one before too. Think I read somewhere that they are short lived. I'm about to throw that one away since it is so munched. I want to find someone to buy or give my…"
Hiya Vicky! Thanks for the post on my page. Hey, that other old houseplant group has a moderator/creator that has been inactive for two years, so I made a new group where we can make sure the moderator is active. It just got approved, so please join and let folks know. It'll be good to have a group with a moderator who is active on Garden-Share still. I just made some of your banana bread by the way, thanks again for the recipe. Happy gardening!
As I said...I must be slow.... I have participated on many forums but I just can't figure out how to navigate here... I will try for a while, but really....I garden 12 acres, have hoyas and a life...don't know if there's time to figure this out....

Hi, thanks for responding. They came up lovely and healthy. They flowered and then the flowers didn't turn into beans. I did everything I thought was correct according to all info. It was my 1st try at beans. The vine continued to grow and flower. I asked if I needed the Rhizobium for success and was told I didn't. So, I will of coarse try again. I tied them in as the vine grew, but by August I had to just tend to the rest and wait for this season.
"... on a step ladder, Lyn :) There are fall-winter crops ... peas, bean, peppers, cukes, tomatoes, onions, etc. Too hot for most of these in the summer. We'll plant again in Feb-Mar and clear the gardens for other than…"
"Neat, thanks, Keryn. Some years we get no frost at all, and sometimes we get a handful. A few hours right around freezing can definitely happen some years. Here it's not the winters that annoy these plants it's the…"
