GardenRack Puts Gardening Within Reach
GardenRack is the waist high raised bed garden system that puts gardening within reach. If you're tired of bending or kneeling to garden (or you can't because of an injury or arthritis), you've just downsized from a house with a large yard, or live in the city without much room for a garden, GardenRack is for you.
Raised bed gardening is wonderful but you still have to bend over or kneel to plant, weed and water. GardenRack puts the planting surface at your waist so watering, weeding, planting and harvesting are a snap.
This product is a digital download of plans, assembly instructions, and two free ebooks. You can order it at 3 AM and have the plans and materials list instantly. And while it is a DIY project, it can be built in about 2 hours and allows you to control the soil composition so you have perfect loam every time. The finished size is 15 square feet or the area of a washer and dryer side-by-side.
We thought a lot about whether to make GardenRack a kit and decided that a digital download would be better because ...
• The height isn't one size fits all but is customized for you
• You have the choice of building materials -- build it out of pressure treated lumber, redwood, cedar, whatever fits your style
• Shipping wouldn't be cost effective for customers
If you love to garden but have given it up because of the inability to bend or kneel, have downsized or live in the city, go to http://www.garden-rack.com to learn more.

Hi everyone!
I've been out of touch lately ... vacation and some family issues (possible dementia in one of my in laws) ... but the garden continues. I recently updated my blog at http://www.myfrugalgardener.com/blog giving you news on my over-wintered pepper plant and what mature scallions look like in the garden. check it out!
I'll also have some more garden videos coming up -- I did one recently about how to plant a tall plant in a short pot (hint: it isn't going out…

We're now into the 90s regularly and will have a heat index of 105 today. Great for `maters but stinky for humans.
Got the last of the seeds planted last week -- late zinnias and cosmos-- and have planted more impatiens in the back shade garden.
Need to get some Liquid Fence to deter the deer from eating the hosta leaves like last summer.
Now it's just a matter of enjoying the garden, pulling some weeds and making sure to get new flowering bulbs to plant in the…

Hi All!
Went out to GardenRack yesterday and noticed that my lettuce plants were getting ready to bolt. How do you know? When you can see the stalks clearly, it's time. After that they'll send up a flower stalk and the lettuce leaves get slimy and sour tasting.
Pull the plants, remove the leaves and soak them in cold water. Then spin them dry and wrap them in paper towel to try and preserve them for as long as possible.
The peas have set flowers and there are…

Hi All:
I wait every year for May like a retriever waiting for a tennis ball to be thrown in a lake. I can't wait to get tomatoes, peppers, squash and tender annuals in the ground.
Well, it's finally here! This weekend is Memorial Day weekend and I'll be planting in my tomatoes. I already have some peppers because I overwintered my red pepper plant indoors and started with a fully mature plant in the spring.
I'm cautious about planting too early as we still have…
