Roundup is conquering more than just weeds!

This does not surprise me - every time we alter the natural balance some new opportunistic organism will fill in the void.  If these studies are correct the consequences to health and food supply will be staggering.

Wind, frost go away and do NOT come back another day!

Three days of 50 mph winds? Enough already! I gardened a bit on Mother's Day but crazy winds made it feel even colder than 40-ties and my fingers turned into icicles. We might get a frost tonight and all my hopes for the stunning hydrangeas this summer will be shattered. Fruits have set already on cherry and peach trees and on currants and gooseberries - they too would perish! Mother nature first teased us with a deceptively warm April for zone 5, only to come back with a vengeance in mid- May.… Continue

Wanda, they do sucker a lot too. I've dug/cut the roots put in pots and shared with a number of folks. They are hardy little buggers.
