What kind of gardening do you like to do?
i am just beginnnig.. I have a water garden and several other gardens both veggie and floral
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
every day.. several hours. However, most of it has been to establish the beds.. this is all new..

I have taken on a new hobby. Everything you see posted is only about 3 weeks in the making.. I have not updated some of the flower bed photo's as I have flower orders coming in everyday..and the rain hasn't not been very friendly lately.. great for my soil but bad for me ( rain suit hasn't had a chance to dry).. the flowers are doing ok.. especially the ones that have gone through transplanting. I promised them a good home.. nature is taking care of the rest...

Hi everyone,
I have always loved flowers and recently began my new adventure/hobby. So all these pictures are of brand new beds created in the last 3 weeks.. including the veggie garden. So, nothing other than work in progress at this time.. many of the pictures will show some flowers that have been saved from a friends who just didn't have the time for them anymore.. and were buried in weeds.. so much so that you couldn't even really tell a plant was in front of you. I promised the plants a new home.. if they would quickly recover.. They have listened very well, and thanks to the rain..it has made it much easier on them.. I love all flowers and would really like to eventually include as many different kinds that my zone with allow. My husband and I plan to build in the next couple of years so this is why I have created my beds away from the house we live in now.. we were planning to take it out.. but since have changed our plans on the location of the new house and plan to just keep this as a guest house..or a home for one of my two daughters whom may never leave the nest.. so whenever I make some improvements I always keep this in mind.. I love ideas and suggestions.. so please feel free to send them my way.. I am looking forward to seeing my gardens mature...

I would like to place an order for some crown imperials, but would like to know if anyone can share a promo code with me. These bulbs are rather expensive so any break would help..

thanks

well I spent most of the day today planting along the fence line as well as the flower bed at the entrance. I have to say I am so pleased with the results.. Thanks to my ex mother in-law hooking me up with every singe flower for it as well. I'm still waiting on a good portion of my order from michiganbulb. which won't be here till september. I don't mind.. I'd rather have heatlhy plants. than fight to keep them alive. I have to say.. that my ex mother in law did a wonderful job of picking and… Continue

Cow manure does wonders for the veggies and for the flowers. One of the pictures shows this years supply ready to move onto the sunflower patch this fall for next years broccoli.
Love the music by the way.

How do you keep the weeds out of all those little stones lining your sidewalk? It's a very cute idea. I hate using poisons. Did you lay anything down under them?

Hi Billy Jo...Your gardening future looks very busy!! Your land and garden plots are awesome...Your future plants are going to be very happy. I just love the picture of the water garden with the stone paw print. That is just "cool"!

Hi Billie Jo, Thanks for being a friend .I have enjoyed your pictures and look forward to seeing more. We built our home 13 years ago and it's amazing how things have grown since I moved them all from the old site. I've lost very few and as you say, the rain probably helped. I've added more over the years and almost think I should hire a gardener to keep up but I'm sure they wouldn't do it the way I would want it done so will just have to plug along at a slower speed. It takes me thee hours just to mow then hope for a dry day to work in the beds before it rains again
I know I'm spending to much time on this site but when it rains what else to do?
