Zebra mallow

Hoping someone can help me.  I bought a beautiful Zebra Mallow a few weeks ago.  Everything I read about it says it is easy care.  Well, mine is dying.  I just moved it thinking that it might be where I planted it, but it is looking just awful.  The leaves are curled up and there are buds, but they don't seem to open.  Can anyone help!!?  Thanks in advance!

Garden update

Posted on May 14, 2011 at 6:44am 0 Comments

Here it is the middle of May, we are finally having some decent weather here in WNY.  Update on the seeds I started indoors:  The basil is doing fine, I have discovered that using the pellet like starters with the little greenhouses works the best, the basil that I planted in those is doing really well, the basil that I planted in seed starter is doing ok, but not as well.  It seems like It doesn't stay moist enough no matter how often I water.  The dahlia seeds are doing fine, as soon as we…

Planting seeds

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 9:02pm 2 Comments

There is still snow on the ground and it is cold here.  I am so anxious to start gardening so today I started my seeds indoors.  I planted basil (Genovese and Summerlong), Rosemary, and Dahlia seeds.  Last year I planted basil, way too much and it did great all summer long.  The Rosemary I planted last year didn’t do a thing, thought I would try one more time.  I have read that Rosemary is hard to start from seed, but at a cost of under $2.00 a packet, I figured, why not try again.  I also…
