I wish my grandmother could see this now..

Posted on February 18, 2010 at 3:19pm 4 Comments

Growing up, I remember my grandmother always talking about plants. Her antique table was covered with african violets that she had rooted from friends plants. Her front yard contained colorful zinnias by the hundreds every summer and her back yard, although small contained many perennials that had been passed down to her, as well as some beautiful rose bushes, one that she rooted herself and named after my daughter Ashleigh, a baby at that time. She took trips all over the country and to… Continue

Spring Fever!!!

Posted on February 13, 2010 at 7:06pm 12 Comments

Finally started my perennial seeds tonight.. including double flowered hollyhocks in rose, yellow, burgundy and peach as well as Siberian Blues Dianthus. Next I will be starting strawberry foxglove, white rose campion, potentilla, 3 types of delphiniums, gaillardia arizona sun and goblin, perennial sunflowers, white hardy hibiscus, raspberry swirl dianthus and many more. I have a case of Spring fever and over 3 ft of snow on my flowerbeds! What are you all doing to stay sane?

Hi Debra. Glad you like the daylilies. I do sell daylilies but being new to this forum I do not want to do or say anything that might be construed as "soliciting". You can contact me at my private email address: davidsoned@aol.com. Thanks again for the kind remarks.

You have colder weather than we do and I thought ours was cold in the 20s.  I'm so ready for Spring.  Good to hear from you.  Thanks for the comments on my page.   Love yours too.  Stay warm and enjoy the week end.

Debra,
It's my understanding that the fee will be charged only to people who join after August 1st. I believe that we will be grandfathered and remain members without paying a fee. I hope I'm right about this!
Regards,
Kathleen
