"This is caused by aphids. As they suck the juice of the plant it begins to curl. Spray with insecticidal soap. I have tried just spraying with a heavy stream of water as I hate chemicals but it does not work as well as insecticidal soap."

tomato plant leaf curl

I was wondering if anyone would know what is happening with my tomato plants.  They were doing so great and now the top leaves are all doing a tight curl.  I even used organic fertilizer this year.  A neighbor sprayed a chemical weed killer on the grass.  Would a light mist have done this.  I have basil right in front and that looks just fine.  Peppers also are doing great.

Like magic! 4 reasons I like these: stringless, easy to SEE when picking, cann or freeze well, and taste wonderful! We even trim the ends and wrap a hand full w/bacon and GRILL them!

Jill, your garden and pix are beautiful. How many acres are your gardens? Did you buld your pond from scratch and how large is it? Very impressive.

Hi Jill - I know I started a few weeks early but I couldn't wait any more. Gardening withdrawals took over especially after I started my strawberries from seed in the basement. I also want to comment on your beautiful photos. What a great area that you live in. I had friends who years ago lived in Huntley and also Union.
