yea, I think it did have something to do with the weather. My lambsear flowers yellow and I wish it was purple. If I buy pink or other color hydrangeas they turn blue no matter what. Go figure.

Jill, is that lambs ear that is blooming. I don't think mine ever bloomed or maybe it was yellow.

Nice that you collect nature's debris and used to set up a display in school for the children to see. Love the touch that a magnigying glass was there also. The skeleton was gone the next day I went out, I guess due to the rain we had that night. There was another smaller praying mantis but I think the Feral cat caught it... I saw her eyeing it one day and that was the last I saw of it. It's kind of sad to see the gardens dying off, but there are some beautiful things still to see that nature is providing us. Take care, and have a good day!

LOL... no I didn't save the Praying Mantis's skeleton. The time I thought of it, it had disappeared from the rains and wind. That one is gone but I did see another one around few days ago, much smaller, but I think the cats might have eaten it. I have a feral cat that I feed, along with her two daughters who come in, then my own cat. I saw the feral one eyeing it one evening. Hope it's just hiding someplace, or moved on. Your garden is beautiful, and your cats are cute, as well as your dog...all wrapped up in her/his blankie. Have a good day!
