Abalone: a friend has family that used to harvest them in Calif.
Hey again mo. The fuzzy tree is a pine I got at a giveaway years ago; may be the wrong place, but it softens the overall look. The waterfall is made of abalone shells, looks great; still trying to tame the splashing a bit. I'm glad you appreciate what I have created, I consider it a work of (he)art.
mo, that green dish is a Christmas tree tray, to catch spashes when watering live trees. I found a bunch of them at a garage sale. It's about 3ft across and 1-1/4in deep. They also work great on the ground under bird feeders, catching the seed that gets scratched out and making it available for ground feeders; it also prevents seeds from germinating directly under the feeder.
Thanks for the offer of help, If you're ever heading to this part of the country, let me know. Your prayers are always welcome. Trying to get my gardens presentable with my sister's help.
Joseph Wright said… Hiiiiiiiiii mo!!!!!!! hope you are well my friend!
Mo, early last summer, I had surgery, then my lungs quit; lost much of my lung function, lost the integrity in my back, immune system crashed; in the hospital 11-1/2 weeks, 5 weeks in a forced coma with double pneumonia. Doctors never knew if I would make it day to day, to the point that the hospital inquired what to do with the body. Permanently disabled now, can never work again. God gave my wife and I a new kind of life from that point.

Thanks mo puff; I also have several good gardening blogs. Happy Gardening.
