"Yes Sharon, they really do tear them up around here, there are wetlands around, so there are many trees that the bugs live in and draw all sorts of woodpeckers! Uh, even our front porch supports before we re-built them!

Hi Nancy, Looked in my moth/butterfly book index again for that moth name that you found and it was there and turned to the page and the moth had it's wings open and didn't look at all like when they were closed. That's why looking thru the book the other night, I only found the one on the next page with his wing closed and he looked like that moth.
Kind of amazing how it looks like a total different moth whith the wings open or closed!
Thanks Nancy for finding (what I THINK is that bug!) Eeew! And why in the world do I have it way up in my tree? Ick. Maybe I should have gotten rid of it when I saw it, but I really had no idea! Your pics are so pretty!!, especially the ones with the butterflies in them! GORGEOUS!
Me too-I got in a little trouble with my group of friends several months ago. I said GI is sooooo much better than fb and i had some loyal fans of fb who took me to task. All in good humor. I do still belong to fb but this is home to me.
I actually found this site pn fb. Gardening is really one of my true passions and here are all of the same type of people.
