Today I had 2 experiences with bugs and birds. I was examining my first tomatoe plant ever, I do this several times a day. Something has been nibbling on it.. Those little green pest.. I have been tempted to use some bug killer. Well, In swooped a wasp and I noticed he was eating one of those little green pest.. I will never bad mouth a wasp again.
Then I am working in my garage and I keep hearing this small noise tapping on tin, I looked several times, finally I see it. My big dog…

Really investigate the different breeds before you buy. Some have bad temperaments and some are very gentle. Leghorns can be feisty and large. Bantams small and gentler. You don't want to end up with a bad tempered bird that can live for 8+ years. Pick up a couple of chicken magazines and talk with people that have chickens. I would love to get a couple of Buff Orpingtons, but don't really have the room for a couple more chickens...at least that is what my husband says :) Good luck!
