A couple days ago I noticed one of my indoor plants was wilting. I gave it a little extra water with some fertilizer during the week wich didn't help anything. This weekend I got a lamp that simulates the sun for plants. When I went to put this plant under it I notice all these worm looking things.... I am assuming this is what is killing the plant? Could someone tell me what these are, and how to safely kill them? This plant is outside during the summer.

Sounds like good advice.I would also suggest "GardenSafe3 in one" natural pesticide first,it has neem oil which has worked wonderfully for me,is a fungicide too! Happy Gardening!

Hi Brenna...don't tell any organic gardners I told you this, but places like Home Depot, Walmart, etc. have small spray bottles of all purpose pesticide that will take care of this small variety of cenipeed. I would suggest that you re-pot. The wilting usually indicates a root problem. I can see a dead root fragment in the picture which backs up my theory. You may want to read a post from a while back:
www.my-garden-world.com/?p=200 Since you have a pest problem as well, I would suggest you remove all of the old potting soil and replace it with fresh new stuff- straight out of the bag. Before you place the plant back into the soil, wash the whole thing down using a gentle flow of water to get all of the bugs out of the root system. Also get a new pot or thourgholy wash the old pot real good using a solution of dish detergent and a tablespoon of household bleach....Good luck and keep me posted.
