BEING WITH NATURE AND WOW, ORGANICS PAY OFF.............

Today I had 2 experiences with bugs and birds. I was examining my first tomatoe plant ever, I do this several times a day. Something has been nibbling on it.. Those little green pest.. I have been tempted to use some bug killer. Well, In swooped a wasp and I noticed he was eating one of those little green pest.. I will never bad mouth a wasp again.

Then I am working in my garage and I keep hearing this small noise tapping on tin, I looked several times, finally I see it. My big dog cages were at the entrance and a bird has jumped in to eat the food, then he hops over by me and examines what I am sweeping on the floor. I just happen to be cleaning the seed area. It was strange and a happy experience. They have a nest at the garage door and you walk in to my dinning area through the garage and I have caught them in my kitchen before.. Funny..

Good for you, Shirley! Gardening is a lot less work when nature is in balance.
Sounds like a very frugal bird! Maybe he will take care of your sweeping for you in the future.

If you grow Dwarf Marigolds and Sweet Basil near you r tomato plants~they will help keep those terrible green monsters at bay....and is much better than poisoning your plants.....pick them off when you see them or they will EAT your tomato plants.
