Well my dream of having a party in my garden has come to pass. I have been working on my garden for 5 years now. Nothing fancy. I would say I have a cottage garden. Veggies growing amoung the flowers really was a conversation piece. The grapevine had beautiful clusters cascading thru the lattice really drew the eye up for some of the guest. I had Christmas lights on and the weather was awesome last night. I couldn't of asked for better. Plus, it had rained a couple of days prior and there were extra flowers blooming.
My two sons graduated one from St. Phillip's as a massage therapist and the other liberal arts degree from SAC.
They don't realize all the work I have had to do to make the garden look that way.
My biggest complement was from my son Chris. I told him it will be like if we were eating at Chris Madrids. He said, "Mom, Chris Madrid's is nothing like our backyard. This is way more beautiful." I was so thrilled to hear those words.
I'm ashamed to say my boys do NO yardwork. One is there is no grass to mow. However, if I do need something moved they always lend a hand. I do all the pruning, weeding, and planting; myself.
My mom said that I never went outside when I was there age. She is surprised how I have turned around and love gardening now.
One just never knows; huh?
