GROWING!!!

OH how exciting! i have peas!!! some onions...its crazy ive never seen seeds for onions...my dad always used the little bulbs...but i have onions!!! still no green beans...and no potatoes...hopefully they will be up this week...its supposed to be warm and sunny...I found a new place for my turvy things...in LOTS more sun...the leaves were getting a lil crispy so i decide it was time for a different place!

I will soon have pics of our pond plants in full bloom!

Comment by Andi,zone 5 Ohio on May 21, 2009 at 9:26am: I read that potatoes LOVE lost of mulch...up to 4 inches deep. You could try watering them in really well and then adding the layers of mulch. i started mine with a bit of straw and as the potatoes grew more and more I would water them well and more straw. It's pretty deep now and the potatoes seem really really happy. Hope you have some luck! :) Congrats on the onions and peas! Isn't it just so exciting to check every day and see those new babies? Have fun!
