May 1st already! Where is the time going? Spring is progressing right along. The trees are all leafed out now. The poplars are making my husband crazy once again, as they seem to be always dropping something from them. They are very messy trees! My little terrier/poodle mix constantly brings their mess in with her. She usually comes in with something hanging from her chin. Being part terrier, her nose is nearly always to the ground. Maybe she's part Beagle.

I spent the last afternoon of April planting a couple azaleas I picked up at Home Depot last night. Just gallon pots, but only $2.24 each. They are called "Fascination." They have a two tone blossom. Quite interesting. And, I looked them up on the internet and they are a "bloom again" variety. Double your pleasure! I also picked up a third one called Pink Pearl. Haven't decided where to put it yet. I started moving things, so the hellebores that are too big for their current location are finding a new home. A fern was divided and placed across the path. So much to do in the Spring, Digging in GA clay through tree roots and rocks is always a real chore! Despite the chore, the addiction seems to lure me back out there to do battle with the land once again!
