I've been neglecting my favorite site... because I've been playing House Hunters. It's time to find a permenent residence down here in lovely Southern Indiana. I haven't look for a house in over 15 years and I think I'm better at it this go round :) But who looks for a house going into winter? I'm just checking my options and trying to figure out where I want to finally land. I live in Columbus and work in Seymour. I'm leaning toward finding a house in Seymour.

It also breaks my heart to think of leaving my cute little house I've been renting for the last few years. The tiny rooms and uneven floors... the ugly kitchen, the cubicle size living room. But, it had a great big yard fenced back yard that was a mess and the amazingly enough the best dirt anywhere. The gardening bug got me when I came down here and I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into my yard. A few hits, a few misses, but it's all been fun. I hate to think what's it's going to look like when I take the yard with me when I go :) Oh, but think what I can do when it's MINE!!

Audra, congrats!  The design possibilities are fantastic for this blank slate.  Good luck and good gardening!

Finally!  I'm in the final stages and packing up my duds :)  It's pretty much a blank slate as far as gardening goes.  I'm going to inherit a couple of roses bushes.  Nice large lot, a little dated but nothing I can't work with.  It feels like I have been looking for years, probably because I have!

It's been a long road, but I think I finally find "the one".  If all goes well, moving probably late November/December.  If I transplant my perennials, will they be ok in a shed over winter?  I'm afraid I'll be too late to get them i the ground at the new house.

The big house is still in the running, but I'm still debating.  I've found two other houses that are great, but have very small yards.  This one is on over half an acre, probably too big.  I'm having trouble finding one that's just right... It's getting frustrating.

The hunt has been on hold, but now it's back on.  This is the house that I loved last year, but it had a few issues.  They took it off the market, fixed the stuff that was beyond me and now it's back on.  I'm going to go take a look next week.  I love this place :)  Could get intersting.  :)

Good luck with finding the right home and yard! I'll throw a few prayers skyward so things come together for you.

Yes, moving from the birthplace of Tony Stewart to the birthplace of John Mellencamp :)

You got to time the move right to take most of it with you!  Good luck!
