I am leaving my garden tomorrow to take a trip to Portland OR to visit my friends and celebrate my 30th birthday. I think the Rose Garden there is in full bloom right now. I you love roses they that is a must see destination! They grow all kinds of roses and test new kinds too.

I am worried that something will happen while I am away. Nothing will, I am almost positive. The sun will shine, the the sprinklers will sprinkle, my dad will take care of anything that goes wrong. There is really nothing that is going to happen. But still..... It is right when everything should be sprouting. I am going to miss my little baby flowers poking out of the ground for the first time :(

On the up side, my Lavender finally decided to sprout! I have been waiting nearly a month, I thought they wouldn't ever come up! I also have some Oriental Poppies, but they haven't grown much at all after they sprouted.... I wonder why....

The Zinna's all came up faster than expected! It only took them five days (maybe only 4) to germinate and sprout! Crazy!

I have the pumpkins all blanketed in with black plastic in hopes to keep them warm and maybe sprouting sooner! Keep your fingers crossed, they don't have too much time to grow since my growing season is so short!

I will have plenty of projects to work on when I get back home. I am still working on the rest of the side yard. I am also going to make some stepping stones, then attempt a birdbath, if I am brave enough..... and there is the never ending parade of Dandelions that seem to think I am doing all this work for them.....
