Today is June 21 2009, Fathers day (oops I forgot) as well as the first official day of Summer.
Summer in my area actually arrived some time ago and we have been patiently waiting for the calender to catch up. Today I have been out doing my usual Sunday puttering, it is my favorite day of the week as it allows me the most time to spend in the garden.
I have FINALLY potted my herbs into larger pots, the Lavender, Lemon Thyme, Sweet Basil, and Globe Basil are all very happy in their new homes. I also potted up the Jasmine that has been soaking in water for the last month (12 in all) and helped hubby get the posts in for the compost tumbler he is building for me.
About the compost tumbler.... DH decided a month or so ago that he could build one for me for less than the cost of purchasing one. He did a lot of research online and came up with a plan that he implemented about three weeks ago. Due to a lack of communication on my part, it has been sitting in limbo partially completed since that time. Yesterday we communicated about it and he is in full swing working to get it finished. He believes by this time tomorrow it will be completed and ready for use... YAY! :D
Now to communicate with him about completing the green house.....
