I'm in Wichita and our average last frost date is April 15. I generally wait until night low temperatures are in the mid 50's, and watch weather reports so I can put them on the porch if necessary overnight.

After danger of the last frost. Old Farmer's Almanac says for Topeka April 19th. I will set mine out once it's 50 or so at night regularly but I drag 'em back in at night if it's still cold. Good Luck. P.S. Bigger the tropical, the cooler they can stand.
