Terror in the Pond has PASSED and I have been gone a long time

HI Everyone,

I have been away for a very long time. I have missed my garden and my garden friends.

I hope next Spring I can spend time back in my yard and back you ya'll talking about all the problems and fixes.

The Terror in the pond (the crane) gave up. I took the electric fence down, it WAS ONLY BATTERY powered, would NOT kill the crane.... I have big trees around my pond and the crane is eating sushi somewhere else.

Now with all the leaves falling they will be stopping up the intake on the pond, that is so fun to go into the very cold water and dig the leaves out of the intake pipe. IF anyone has any advise on that, I would love to know it.

We caught the squirrels in a trap. Thanks all of you that advised me, the trap was the only way to get rid of the varmits.

I am SAD it is getting cold at nights here and I LOVE the days and cool weather to work outside. BUT SO VERY SAD it is going to be cold. I HATE COLD weather.

WE have had a LOT of trouble with coons trying to have sushi in the pond. WE caught 5 this Summer in a trap and took them to the lake and set them free. IN HOPES they do NOT find thier way back to my house.

I missed you all and hope to be abck soon,
Char Smith
