I did some weeding today in the garden area I am trying to create where the bittersweet once thrived. Lo and behold...the bittersweet is still with us. I found and destroyed several new shoots of the vine attempting to choke out the perrenials I have planted there. We had quite a downpour of heavy rain right after I weeded, so my plants are now getting air and water. Tomorrow, they should also get some sunshine and that will help, too.
