Sorry that I haven't post since Feb. but things have been busy here. I finally got the bees the second week in April. I was suppose to take delivery on the first weekend but from what the supplier told me, their bee supplier is very picky about the queens he raise's. He wanted to be sure that the queens that he supplied were good egg layers. The day that I "hived' the bees from the packing cage to the hive was some what nerve racking and exciting. At first it was a bit nerve racking to have 10,000 bees buzzing around you. All went well, and to date I haven't been stung. I will say that it is very relaxing and calming to stand next to the hive and watch the bees coming and going.
