So yesterday my dad casually mentions that we should grow pumpkins because we haven't grown pumpkins in years. I am slightly taken back by this remark because I asked 100 times if he wanted to plant anything else in the garden....eye roll.

Today I went out and purchased a variety of pumpkin seeds: giant pumpkin, jack o'lanterns, mini pumpkins and these crazy white pumpkins I haven't ever seen before and we planted them in the two unoccupied garden beds.

Now we are having a race between the Wyoming Weather and the Pumpkins. The Giant pumpkins take 115 days grow their fruit. It usually frosts here around the 15th of September (roughly) so I have 116 days to grow my pumpkins before the frost hits. I guess we will have to hang on to out hats and be watching this nail biting race closely. :)
