I've been a bit worried about my daylilies as there are tons blooming around here and mine didn't even have any buds. My local garden center owner said not to worry, that we're a bit behind the season. And I did plant them a bit later last year (end of June, first of July, can't remember). But still, I've been worrying.

I was out pulling weeds and pruning things this morning and noticed that my daylilies have little buds showing up. Yea! They're still small but my variety must be a later season variety. That's good to know. Was afraid I had killed them despite everyone saying how hardy they are.

I'll be sure to share photos when their time comes.

Not to worry Jody. Mine aren't blooming yet either although they do have lots of buds. Think the extended period of cold weather and rain may have delayed blooming time.

"Clare, My three year old  Baptista finally bloomed this year but just one stem. Lots of green very little indigo. Any suggestions?"
