Tiarella: A Wee Bit O' The Green Poking Out of the Snow

Ah! Spring time in Minnesota; black rotting snow, playing pothole slalom and the smell of hot asphalt in the air. It's a little early this year. I'm betting on one more blizzard, about April. Meanwhile those of you in more southerly latitudes are posting and tweeting: The crocuses are blooming! The robins are singing! Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Nature is funny, I just try to describe it. A few of us Minnesotans have been noting that if anyone showed up for the first time to this state in March, they'd wonder what ugly alien planet they landed upon. Here's hoping for an early spring....
