I went to the garden this morning and picked a basket full of collards and some kale. I put most of that in the freezer and then saved a mess of collards to cook for lunch. They were so tender and took no time at all to cook! Looking forward to the left overs tomorrow. Do you know they taste even better the next day? Friday I pulled a big bowl full of turnips. I seasoned them up with a pan full of other root veggys (carrots, new potatoes, sweet potatoes, garlic, and onions) and roasted them in the oven. What a feast!

My husband surprised me with an early Valentines presents. I have 3 roseplants, blueberry, and fig trees. Hve you seen or heard of the new roses caled "Ketchup and Mustard"? I now have 2 of these! They are absolutley beautiful! Also a climber called "4th of July" smells and blooms like crazy!  As soon as they bloom I'll post some pics. Right now they will have to wait for a break in this freezing cold weather to get in the ground! Yall stay warm, this is what we call "a two dawg night"! Haha!
