Off to catch up on a years worth of posts I've missed.... Talk with ya again soon!
BTW I'm copying and pasting same message to Bonnie and Catherine LOL)
Hi Melissa, Love your pictures.. I noticed your are from San Angelo.. I just moved here last year. I've been working hard trying to get some type of landscape, which has been hard with the drought :( What garden club do you belong? Is there an active master gardeners group here?
Melissa, I really enjoyed all your new pictures... I had to go get a popcorn and coke though. Haha
Your flowers are all beautiful! You have so many and such a neat variety. Your greenhouse is so packed and poor hubby lost all walking space! Will you wait until spring to put anything in your new bed?
Hi Melissa. Thanks for the friend request. As for that flowers in my avatar, that's the bloom of a native tree that grows in my region of north Queensland. The tree is rather ugly and scraggly, but does have these fantastic blooms. Unfortunately the blooms only open in the late afternoon and bloom at night. By the next morning, the blooms have dropped off, so unless you know about this you would miss seeing them!
Thank you Bonnie and Vicky I am so glad you enjoyed my story, I went calling on "Charlie" this afternoon to let him know he has become a bit of a celebrity on Garden Share. To which he retorted " I don't know what your blabbering about now, I have never been on TV in my life and don't plan to" I told him "Its not TV its the internet, I told the story of how you and I became friends". He said "Oh so we are friends are we? I thought you were just my favorite irritation" After I stopped laughing Charlie added: "Now whats this you say? I 'm a dot.com now? What a gem he is. Vickie, you and I are practically neighbors, well if we compare the miles to Bonnie's place in Missouri that is! I live in Hazel Dell Washington (just a pinch north of Vancouver). I have a friend who lives in Kennewick, is that your city? I have not seen her for awhile, I love the area though, very different from here.
"Yes I know the plant well, they love our climate in Australia, a fast grower, will cover an old ugly fence in one season. Loves a good hair cut and then flowers again. It has a dormant period for a couple of months during winter, but stays alive."
