I actually watched this some time ago and kept the idea in my head. Today I did the deed!

I bought a pineapple for Christmas and today I followed the instructions and have it planted and I am nursing it now for the 2/3 weeks. I will take a pic tomorrow and then let ye all know how it is doing!

This is awesome!  I did the soak in a bowl thing and the fruit kept fermenting.

Here in Australia, we just cut the top and plant it in the garden. I used them in my front garden to fill in empty spots when we first established our garden last year. Pineapples are abundant here as they are grown in the next State. However some pineapple growers have now specified that tops must be cut from their pineapples before going to market to stop people propagating their particular type of pineapple!

Hi,

I just bumped into this video and I really enjoyed watching it.

I think I'm going to get a pineapple from the store tomorrow and try your method!

Thanks a lot!
