This little fella decided he (or she) wanted to nest in the blue bird house in my Aunt's back yard. I swear I thought I would FAINT if he was going to jump on me!!!!

flying squirels, i love them they are the cutest, we were blessed with one for a short time, but was released back to the wild. they don't make real good pets because they still are a squirrel but these are nocturnal and are less aggresive

What kind of creature is it with its big dark eyes?

LOL ! I must tell you ...Once many years ago I set out to clean out my bird houses trying to pull the house down with one hand while holding my daughter on my hip with the other, yanked ,and OUT popped a mouse ,,landing right on us ,..fell flat on my butt , screaming while my daughter couldn't stop laughing, she is 23 now and still has a warped sence of humor ;)

Well, I guess I should have added that "I" was squeaking.  It seemed to interest him, so I continued.  Isn't he cute?  I was about two feet away from him and he certainly wasn't afraid of me....that's why I would have fainted if he decided to jump!

Who's doing the squeaking?  Sounds 'human' to me.

Very cute.  You were at the right place at the right time to catch it peaking out like that.
